Famous Residents in Belsize Park
Karl Marx from 1864-75 lived at No.1 Modena Villas. Later renamed No.1 Maitland Park Road in 1868. Sigmund Freud lived at 39 Elsworthy Road. Later he moved to 20 Maresfield Gardens until he died in 1939. Sir Henry Issacs, Lord Mayor of London in 1889-90, lived at 27 Belsize Park.
