About St James Mansions
St James Mansions has a feeling of luxury benefiting from the nearby diverse blend of smart shops, trendy restaurants and stylish wine bars that will continue to ensure the popularity of the area and the block.
History
Completed in 1896, this grand styled block was one of the first to be built in the area. Comprising of 43 flats, each was built with two reception rooms and three to four bedrooms. Prior to the construction of St James Mansions there was a large home occupying the site called Beacon House. Built in a very similar style and layout to other mansion blocks within the area, it is thought that St James Mansions may have been built or designed by the same company who built Buckingham and Marlborough Mansions.
